I was born and raised in Maine and graduated from Yale in 2003 with a B.A. in Literature. I’ve been a freelance writer since 2007, covering a wide range of topics. I’m the author of Battle of Ink and Ice: A Sensational Story of News Barons, North Pole Explorers, and the Making of Modern Media (Viking, 2023). I currently live in New York City with my wife, Dana.
